Pitch details:

Facilities with drinkable water? The rugby pitch is in the Imperial Park Sports Fields off a dirt road. There is a recreation centre there attached to the school, and full facilities. You will need a special key. There are usually port-o-potties beside the pitch as well.
Showers? After the game, the team will invite you to go to air force barracks about a 10 minute drive back into Grand Centre to the air force base or now you will probably use the rec centre.
Parking? There is tonnes of parking.
After the game? You will all return to the air force base, the entry to which you passed on the way to the pitch. The Cold Lake Penguins are very good hosts and will treat you to dinner and drinks at the (___) restaurant and bar.

NOTE: Bring your driver’s license and or passport in case they give you the shake down at the base entrance after the game.
The pitch is being developed and is shared with soccer. The pitch is still being developed, so have a look at the dips and have them fill the holes with sand or dirt: the Penguins are usually pretty good about that.
The goal posts are great, and the post pads are solid foam, gorgeous.
The in-goal areas are now 18m or so, and good. Pitch does have a bit of a crown and slope into reveen, but not too noticable.

The rugby pitch is now in the Imperial Park Sports Field. You actually will go towards Cold Lake NORTH and you are on the way to Cold Lake NORTH when you will stay on the main road until you pass Tri City Mall (includes SOBEY’S, CANADIAN TIRE, and ZELLERS). After you pass a Tim Horton’s, about a few hundred meters down the road, you will come to a tallll cross on the left hand side. DON’T PASS IT!! Take the RIGHT hand turn onto the dirt road – watch the big dips in the gravel! Then after about 80m, take the next LEFT. The pitch will be straight ahead after the parking lot.
