The role of the ERURS VP Development is such that VP Development shall:
- Formulate and enact a plan for the identification and development of referees who want to advance their development, and work with the Allocations Officer to implement said plan.
- Formulate and enact a plan for recruitment of referees to the Society.
- Ensure ALL Match Officials are graded within competency standards defined by Rugby Canada.
- Ensure the training and development of qualified Coaches and Assessors.
- Ensure proper and regular mentoring, coaching, and assessments are performed.
- Note: the VP Development shall not be in charge of the allocation of the referees.
- In the absence of the VP development, the Secretary shall exercise the aforementioned responsibilities.
