I was wondering after what happened at Jasper snow 7,s tournament. If you people would allow me too come back and join the erurs. I would also be willing too do the edson games if you had no one too do them and the same goes for G.P. games being that i,m only 1hour and 15min from edson and only 2hrs from G.P. just wondering. I was allowed too ref at the 7,s tournament and watching Dave do 18 games in a row was quite a feat in it,s self but I wouldn,t wish that on anybody. just wondering ?
And by the way thanks for saying thank-you, your welcome, from that person who did thank me.

Hello,
Darrell H. with the Druids. I have been unable to locate a copy of the game sheet from last Saturdays may 15th 1st division game between the Druids and The Lep Tigers. The ref for this game was Sandy. Could you please email me with Sandy’s email address so I can ask him who the game sheet was left with.

Thanks for your comment and letting us know from another point of view the importance of the officials being more strict on punishing any play that is outside the normal enjoyable physicality of rugby. And I agree that unfortunately, violence is creeping into the game. I cannot tell you how many red cards (game suspensions due to dangerous play or fighting) have been given out at only the mid-point of our senior season.

For clarification, may I ask if this was the boys’ team or the girls’ team from above mentioned HS?

May I also add that it may be a good idea to write a letter to the ASAA high school sports organizers of rugby, because as much as officials should be reminded of our role of making sure the game is safely played, it is also the coaches’ responsibility to be educating their players on safe and proper tackling and above all, sportsmanlike conduct.

Unfortunately violence is creeping into the game. A week after this was released, during the high school tournament at Ellerslie, the match official allowed a similar incident and again did not punish the offending player. The match official allowed continuous and blatant violence to occur throughout the match with no regard for the safety of the players. The offending team was from xx High School. Many players quit Rugby that day for fear thanks to that.

1 – pallotron is the photographer of 15 of the fabulous bw rugby pictures above. If you copy these pictures, please give attribution to him. (KA, PC, CG, AH, TL, ML, CL, DP, TP, KR, GT, TVV, SW)
2 – brainless.angel is the photographer for (RN, RP, CW) the picture of the heads with scrum caps and (GS) the Millennium Stadium reflection picture. If you copy these pictures, please give attribution to him.
3 – Balakov is the artist who re-created the (LE) 1974 LIFE photo of the year of the first official rugby union streaker from Twickenham Stadium with lego men. If you copy this picture, please give attribution to him.
